Grown-Up Soda is an outreach of St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Parish to all 7th and 8th grade students. As a group our goal is to discover the life-giving waters that Jesus promised- that our thirst for more would be quenched. We have exciting socials, and meetings chuck full of games and deep discussions each month!
This semester’s Grown-Up Soda meetings have been based on input from our young people! We’ll talk about our busyness, moral choices, and body image. In the busyness of our lives and the chaos of our modern world– we are all in need of discovering- and rediscovering God's love for us. Therefore, our theme this semester will be God's Love.
As Pope John Paul II said at World Youth Day in '99, "Dear young people, receive the love that God first gives you. Hold fast to this certainty, the only one that can give meaning, strength and joy to life: his love will never leave you, his covenant of peace will never be removed from you. He has stamped your name on the palms of his hands.”
